Carolina Treasure and Artifact Association - June Minutes June 22, 2015
The
SCTAA met on June 22, 2015 with 20 in attendance. Carter Mahaffee re-joined the club for a
total of 38 members so far this year.
The
program was a discussion of Kenny’s travels to Arizona and Isle of Palms,
SC. Tombstone was impressive as an
“authentic old west” town. Kenny and
wife, Chris, found old porcelain pieces in a pile of dirt there. Near Phoenix, he found an arrowhead made of
quartz. Randy Reece shared some
information about the Myrtle beach trip.
He is planning another trip at the end of summer.
We
have some raffle tickets to sell for the FMDAC at the next meeting. We also need to purchase prize coins for the
remainder of the year (July through November).

treasury ended with a balance of $ 901.69.
We collected: raffle - $68; donation can - $8;
2015 memberships - $25; sale of decals - $0; fall hunt at Lake Lure - $30. The closing
balance in the checking acct. is $1,032.69. We also keep $30 cash in small bills set
aside to make change.
